Minding The Gap
As a recipient of the OTF Resilient Communities grant, the Minding the Gap project addresses the mental health inequities caused by systemic racism and discrimination. It also recognizes the barriers to mental health care, such as the lack of access to culturally appropriate mental healthcare services and supports for the black community. This project consists of the following components:

Formed in 2019, The Black Compass Group aims to address the inequities in Canadian society caused by systematic racism and discrimination towards black and indigenous people through a variety of projects. We are a black and indigenous focused organization with black and indigenous beneficiaries.
Our vision is to see a thriving, holistically-healthy, inequity-free Canadian society for black and indigenous communities.
Our mission is to nourish community resiliency by educating, equipping, and empowering black and indigenous people and those who interact with them through projects, programs and tools that encourage community resiliency.
